Where to Shop in Nashville and Brown County, Indiana

Nashville, Indiana is known for its shopping, and one of the best parts about shopping here is that basically all of the shops are small, locally-owned businesses. There are dozens - if not hundreds - of shops and studios in Brown County, which means there is something for everyone!  But it also means that, if you’re not familiar with the area, it can be hard to know where to start.

So, since one of my favorite things to do is to share recommendations with our guests, I just finished up an extensive guide to shopping in Brown County and you can check it out here

I’ve also got a full guide with example itinerary ideas that includes different categories of shops, as well as recommendations of places to eat that fit with the ‘vibe’ of that category, and some ideas for ‘Bonus Activities,' for things that only happen at specific times, or that might get you thinking about alternative ideas to plan your next trip around.

The categories in our itinerary guide include recommendations for the:
⏰ Antiques Lover
🎨 Artist, or Arts Supporter
📚 Bookworm & Cozy-Obsessed
🍝 Foodie
🌈 Kids (or the Kid at Heart)
🚴 Outdoor Enthusiast or Thrill-Seeker
🌱 Plant Person

Each of the shopping itineraries listed in our guide are just a small taste of all there is to see, do, and experience in Brown County.  And, while there’s no way I could possibly include every shopping or dining combination available, I hope this guide gives you an idea of where to start as you’re planning your next trip.

If you’re looking for lodging, we’d love to host you at the Brown County Barn Burner.  We are located near downtown Nashville, IN and most of the spots listed on our Shopping Guide are within walking distance.
